Welcome to my online photography portfolio, Alicia Jeanne Photography! I've loved photography my whole life, but in 2008, I decided to pursue it as a career. So, I started creating portraits of my friends and family and taking my camera everywhere I traveled. When I moved to the San Diego area in 2010, I started shooting more portraits, events, and weddings.

I wanted to learn more about photography and how to make better pictures, so I enrolled in courses with the New York Institute of Photography in 2011. I learned a lot of the basics through them. In 2015, I decided I wanted to go back to school and get a degree. I'm currently attending MiraCosta College in Oceanside for my Associates Degree in Digital Photography, and I plan to transfer to CSU San Marcos in the spring of 2018.

I've met some pretty incredible people in my time at MiraCosta. The photography department is full of great instructors who have helped me break free of my comfort zone and explore the exciting world of photography. I've also been re-introduced to film photography and love spending my free time in the darkroom developing film and black and white prints.

In December 2015, I became the exclusive photographer for ZCode Media's 92081 and 92078 Magazines for Vista and San Marcos, California. I've met so many extraordinary people through this opportunity. Some of the people and organizations I've had the pleasure of photographing include the Mayor and City Manager of San Marcos, the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, the Women's Clubs of Vista and Carlsbad, author and poet Kirby Wright, and the Boys and Girls Club of San Marcos.

As well as being a photographer, I've been happily married since 2013, and other things I love include (but are not limited to) animals, cooking & baking, The Beatles, Star Wars, Disneyland, crocheting, hiking, and traveling.

If you're looking for a photographer for your event, wedding, or portraits, I'd love to hear from you! I also love meeting and collaborating with other photographers, so if you're interested in meeting up, feel free to contact me

 Cheers!

Alicia Countryman
